Name: Johan Davidsson Position: Center/Forward Born: January 6, 1976 in Jonkoping,Sweden Age: 23 Height: 6-1 Weight: 190 Shoots: Right Jersey Number: 22 Currently Resides: Newport Beach Acquired: Drafted by Anaheim in the 2nd round, (28th overall) of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft.Misc: Johan signed a two year contract with the Mighty Ducks on July 13th of 1998, after being drafted four years ago. The Ducks attempted to have him sign on several occasions but Johan chose to stay in europe to develop his game. Johan spent last season with HIFK Helsinki and was the second-leading scorer for the Finnish club team. He had 10 goals and 40 points in 43 games. He spent the previous 5 seasons playing for HV-71 in Sweden. At the age of 19, Johan led HV-71 to the Elitserian League championship (1994-95). He also played with Team Sweden in the World Junior Championships. Johan scored his first NHL career goal on November 16, 1998 against the Los Angeles Kings at the Arrowhead Pond. Johan scored his second & third career goals against the Vancouver Canucks on December 9, 1998. This is Johan's first multiple-goal game in his NHL career. Per my conversation with Johan....he has been skating since he was about two years old. His father was a hockey coach, so he "didn't have much of a choice, but I love it!" He also tried his hand at soccer, tennis and other sports, along with hockey. In his off time he relaxes at home because of all the traveling he does with the team, goes to the movies a lot and hangs out with friends out in Newport Beach. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Johan was sent to the IHL Cincinatti Mighty Ducks on February 24, 1999. HE'S BACK!!! | Johan was recalled to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and he was sorely missed!!!! He is doing extremely well centering a line with Jim McKenzie and Antii Aalto! :) At Fanfair '99 I had the opportunity to meet Johan Davidsson and participate on a one-on-one skate with him. Needless to say I had a blast!
